Hi there! I'm Tristynna Nygren of Tristynna Nygren Boudoir in Anoka, MN and I'm here to build confidence and empower all women. I do this to inspire everyday women to believe in their worth. I do this to eliminate the idea that not having the perfect body means you deserve less, to help mothers recognize their beauty and strength only amplified after having children, to join in the celebration of the female entrepreneur’s success and to make every single woman feel valued.

The Transformation
The transformation that took place in our studio is the best part of the whole experience for us. When a woman arrives in my studio, most of the time she’s nervous, sometimes even visibly so - que the shaky hands and voice, sweaty hands and face! But once they sit in the chair to have their hair and make up done, the transformation truly begins. The client always starts to shed those signs and feelings of nervousness and anxiousness.
Then the shoot starts! The first few photos are to get all warmed up. When I show the client the back of the camera after those first few, I usually hear, "Oh my god, that’s me? No way that’s me!" As we go into the next set, and then the next, the laughter and smile starts to really come out. Then she starts to feel sexy, and you can tell it’s starting to click!
By the time we finish the session and go into the reveal, we’re friends. We’ve just shared an experience that they will always remember. We’ve laughed and shared stories about our lives and made gorgeous art.
Once I show them their pictures on the screen during the reveal, their jaw drops! They see themselves like they never have before and this is one of the most amazing things about Boudoir photography. I get a chance to show them how I see them, how their spouse sees them and be like a mirror for them. When they walk out the door, their smile is so big and they can’t wait to tell their friends about what they just did!
A Little Piece of My Story
Helping others has always been a passion of mine since I can remember. Being surrounded by strong women as a child, I was always taught to empower others. Whether I praised a friend's awesome outfit or celebrated an achievement they were proud of, I did my very best to build them up every day. Becoming a young mother at 16 and currently a mom of 4, being overweight and bullied most of my life for it, and seeing my friends going through so much as women in general really pushed me to begin this beautiful art form. All I've ever wanted is to help women, so when I found boudoir photography in 2015, I immediately knew this is what I was meant to do. Nothing else could sit as perfectly with my heart and soul as this does. I'm home.
Making women feel sexy and confident has fulfilled my life in the most incredible way, and I whole heartedly believe boudoir is for every woman out there. Mommas, women over 60, my plus size babes, curvy gals, survivors, all of you. Boudoir is a luxury experience and a gift for you in more than one way. And let's be honest, you deserve it .
